All Good Things……
No Redemption Rocks! Concerts is not ending, but it is changing and it’s time to tell you all about it and introduce you to someone.
Looking back, I think we hosted our first concert in 2002. This means that I’ve been involved with organizing and promoting Christian concerts for about ten years. It has been great. I’ve seen lots of wonderful things happen. I have many people who I still owe big thank yous and I’ve seen many wonderful things happen. In order to build and do my best at a given show, I’ve often had to dedicate essentially all of my time, outside of my day job, to Redemption Rocks! stuff. But, now it is time for me to focus on other interests and other parts of my life more. Thus, I will no longer be leading Redemption Rocks!
Allow me to introduce to you Camron Ecsile Darby. Camron will now be leading Redemption Rocks! Concerts. Camron resides in Salem, where he has been putting together local Christian concerts and organizing groups of Christian musicians. (His stage name is Ecsile.) Camron has impressed me in that his focus is primarily on people and the music. He seems far less concerned with making a name for himself than with sharing his music and serving peoples needs.
Redemption Rocks! will change. There is likely to be fewer concerts by big name, national artists that have Redemption Rocks! directly involved. I’ll be leaving the artistic decisions and such to Camron and just coming on board to help when he needs me. Many concerts will be held in Salem, thus spreading out our geographical base more. There will be more of a returned focus on local artists. I think this can all be for the good. We’ll still post information on all of the Christian shows in the area that we hear about and put together calendars of upcoming shows for you.
Thank You all for volunteering, spreading the word, coming to shows and being involved in Redemption Rocks! Getting to know and serve alongside so many of you has been an honor. I hope many of you will pitch in with Camron to continue to make fun, exciting, meaningful things happen and I hope to see you around.
Blessings! -David Evarts
