PR: @ChrisTreborn turns page to next chapter in music w/ #TimeCapsule2099

Chris Treborn just released

The Romans Road To Salvation

(#trrts | trrts.com)

in June,

but he is all ready to release some more music.

Time Capsule has been a project I have been waiting to finish, or at least begin finishing.

Christian says of his new project.

Beginning Tuesday September 30th, 2014 – Chris Treborn will be releasing a single track from his latest project and ending Tuesday December 30th, 2014.

In 2007 Chris Treborn began creating a music project beyond his imagination.  His inspiration was a Digital Time Capsule that was set to launch around that time called KEO.  The freedom to pen your own ideas, thoughts, & message to be read years from now was the muse for this project. Original titled ‘Christian’s Time Capsule’ a future reflection of Chris Treborn’s style and thoughts was to be released after ‘Christian’s [Memory Box]‘ (a collection of his favorites songs).

The project has since been shelved and merely a work in progress that continues to be in the process of creation.  Chris Treborn has penned close to a dozen songs and has produced a majority of the compositions to accompany his futuristic lyrics.  His lyrics are all futuristic, but the lyrics also speak of past events that remain relevant to this day.  All songs written have a certain feeling to them.  They are telling stories that will last the generations and stand the test of time. These everlasting truths will be comprehended by future generations and hopefully even Treborn’s descendents.

Throughout this ‘Time Capsule’ Chris Treborn intends on using his freedom of speech to share his knowledge and truth.

The goal is to have this Hip Hop styled album be relevant and remain true even in the year 2099.

Time Capsule 2099

Being compared and judged in Christian Hip-Hop

When I 1st performed in Church,

they compared me to KJ-52.

When I 1st performed in Oregon,

they compared me to Braille.

I was offended by these comparisons. Mainly, because I didn’t want to be labeled a white rapper. Unfortunately, if you are a Christian that uses Hip-Hop culture and Rap as a tool to share the gospel, love & life, you are going to be labeled forever more. I had to get over it.

I then studied these two individuals after the claim and found out this wasn’t an attack on my character or style. This was a compliment. Since 2006 both of these artists have been the hardest working emcess in the industry. They have been through a lot. They have paved the way. They have knocked down a lot of doors and walls in the music scene which I have unknowingly benefited from.

The thing I admire the most about these two artists is their business mind. How they share music and how they approach the industry just astonishes me. Not just because of their methods, but because they are successful in mostly every thing they do.

They impress me. They inspire me.

So the next time you are compared to someone else, don’t be quick to deny the claim. Instead, sit back and think about it for a minute. Realize, we are not in a competition. We are in a community. Let’s continue to build one another up!

Blessings family!

✪ KSON ✪ Debut Album “Light In Me”

Chris Treborn & KSON went by different stage names before they left California.  They were also in a group called 2cHe (Two Christians Helping Everyone).  Although they have gone their separate paths, they have remained on the same mission, using the same tool; Hip-Hop.

KSON stands for King’s Son and originates from three scriptures;

1 Thessalonians 2:12 – We exhorted each one of you and encouraged you and charged you to walk in a manner worthy of God, who calls you into his own kingdom and glory.

Psalm 47:7 – For God is the King of all the earth; sing praises with a psalm!

2 Corinthians 6:18 – I will be a father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to me, says the Lord Almighty.

Originally from Northern California he started rapping in 2003. A year later he entered a singing competition called “Teen Talent” and won second place in the Nation for male vocals. After the success and encouragement from his peers, he went on to record a demo with producer Adam French; with that demo he toured Northern and central California through 2004 and 2005. In 2006 he moved to Tulsa Oklahoma were he worked with producer Antjuan Robinson. Taking time to grow his faith he served as a youth leader in several churches. In 2010 he co-founded the group Apagee, which released a self-titled EP; produced by Michael Todd. The group’s accomplishments included air time on radio stations,   Write ups in magazines ( The Urban Tulsa and Variance Magazine ) and the honor of winning a Absolute Best of Tulsa Award for being the best Blues and R&B group for 2010. In addition to the awards and publicity, Apagee ministered with national acts that include KJ-52, Group One Crew, Seventh Day Slumber, Everyday Sunday, I am Empire and many more. In 2012 the group felt lead to focus on solo projects and went in different directions. In response to this KSON began writing for the up coming album “Light In Me” set to release in 2013.

In anticipation of KSON’s debut album, Chris Treborn asked him about his project.

Who did you collaborate with on this project?

I worked with two great producers on the album; Bishop Chase and Rob Costelow. The featured artist include J Royal, Big C, D-Will, Sin, Willy Echo, Kendall Dean, Melo V, and C4R.

Where can everyone buy your debut album when it comes out?

It will be on iTunes and ksonmusic.com

When does “Light In Me” officially come out?

What’s the best way for fans and/or artists get in touch with you?

The best way is either on Facebook – (fb.com/ksonmusic) or twitter – (@KSONMUSIC)

† Devo † God’s Example of Empathy #AnchorFAM #ParentingByDesign

Eating from the tree did not have the result Adam and Eve hoped. While they became like God in their ability to recognize both good and evil, they soon realized it was their own evil that was revealed. The result? Shame entered the world for the first time. This single verse from the Bible has astounding ramifications! Despite Adam’s and Eve’s blatant disobedience, and the fact that incredibly significant consequences were going to be delivered, God responded with perfect empathy. After they committed the most significant sin of all time, God acknowledged their feelings and made garments of skin to cover their shame! What an amazing and loving Father we have! As parents, we must try to model that same empathy to our kids, even in the midst of their disobedience. How? By soliciting their thoughts, feelings, motivations, and insecurities even as we deliver necessary consequences and grieving with them over the tough, but necessary lessons of life.

As you experience God’s incredible love, let the overflow of a grateful heart motivate and guide your parenting.
