About The Founder of Soul Anchor Music:
Christian Treborn has been writing & recording poetry + songs since 1995. Although he has published his works under several different names, Treborn has always been focused on material that not only made you think as well as material that makes you feel inspired and encouraged. Christian has always been more of a lyricist or poet than a musician, but he is best known as an artist. Not just a man in the limelight, CT also enjoys being in the background. From producing to engineering, to hosting events to performing, Tre is a man of many hats & talents. He always has the best interest out for other artists as well as the fans. The focus he always feels is important is the experience you have with the music. His goal is for you to have a different experience each way you hear the music whether it’s live, in the car, or in the privacy of your room.

Chris Treborn is a Christian Hip-Hop artist that loves sharing the stage and the limelight, especially with his fellow brother and sister artists. He has shared the stage with some big names in Christian Hip-Hop like GRITS, CookBook of LA Symphony, and Braille Brizzy himself. Since he met eCsiLe in 2007, they have been a touring force to be reckoned with. They have worked together in booking shows and performing at big events; paying gigs, benefit concerts, and free events. Christian also joined the review team for DaSouth.com in 2010. There he volunteered his time listening, previewing, and giving feedback on a number of projects from unsigned, independent, Christian artists – from emcees to singers. That was just another service Treborn felt would benefit the body of Christ and encourage his peers and fellow artists within the Christian community.
When Chris Treborn isn’t making music, he is definitely promoting it throughout his social networks like Facebook & Twitter. He has been listening to Christian / Gospel Rap since 1997 when he met Bruthaz Grimm in Tracy, California. Their album ‘He’s Coming’ had a huge impact in his life and to this day, he still listens to its encouraging message. He has been writing lyrics since 1995 and recording since 1999. In 2001 he shopped his demo and got picked up by a production team in Modesto, California. In 2002 he performed live for the first time in front of over 100 people and on live television in a southern baptist church located in southern Sacramento, California the day after he met their Bishop at a hair salon. It sounds strange, but God has been using Christian as his divine instrument – not just preaching to the choir, but edifying them with his motivational poetry and words of genuine.
Treborn has put his music on the back burner since his break up with his ex-girlfriend in 2009 and has slowly leaked new material. Since then, he has built Soul Anchor Music, but most importantly; reconnected with his Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ. He has been growing too much to create new music, but when he least expects it, songs come pouring out of him. He is currently working on a new project called ‘Sitting On Sidelines’ which is an album for all the underdogs out there, and not to mention, the sports fans. He is using parables of sports with scripture to motivate, encourage, and inspire the youth – from South Salem High School and throughout the entire Willamette Valley.
In 2010, Christian also took his skills to work hands-on with the youth in his community by volunteering for Young Life. There he created new friendships and built relationships with teenagers from different diverse backgrounds. This volunteer work has been fundamental to his growth in ministry and involvement with betting the younger generations. “Being hands-on was huge, and meant even more than just handing kids CDs” Christian says of Young Life at South. Being a leader to this kids has developed his character more as well as his love for the young lives.

All that being said, understand this; Christian Treborn is an artist and has some great things to say and do to help those around him. He is looking forward to using Soul Anchor Music as a foundation of support for his brethren. Treborn is willing to help artists of all kinds as well as those in his town, and across the globe. Chris Treborn and Soul Anchor look forward to sharing new people with you. New artist in development. And new styles of music throughout Christian music and throughout Hip-Hop and Rap. The goal is to bring more than just music, but a ministry - as expressed on the Wade-O Radio Show.
