Receive the word of God in good soil!
1. We are provoked to action
Make a difference. Meet a need.
2. We are creators of what ought to be.
We are not surprised by it. We have read. We don’t criticize it.
We create what could be. Eyes don’t stop with the way things are.
3. We are called to a purpose.
We are not consumers of ministry in the church. We are called to serve, not consume. Fruit not partaken of becomes rotten fruit. The Church doesn’t consume what the professionals give. That’s the world’s job. We are all ministers of the goodness of God. When you arrive, you are the minister there. Love them till they ask why.
4. We are grounded in Christ.
Not distracted in the world. You can be out in it all the time and not of it.
5. We are in community.
Iron sharpens iron. In fellowship, a trimmed wick burns longer.
6. We are counterculture.
We are not relevant. Lets not fit it. 2 Corinthians 13:13. The fruits of the Spirit. Those are countercultural. Not relevant. Standing at peace as the world is rocking.
7. We proclaim and embody the gospel of Jesus Christ in everything we do and everywhere we go!
We speak and live the good news of God’s love. We receive the word because the Spirit of God is in us and upon us.
The spirit of The Lord is upon us, because He has anointed is to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent is to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind.
